These fireworks are not for Diana's birthday, but for one of the biggest Indian holy fest of Diwali. In one week there are million of firecrackers being let off, which makes the air poisonous for a month (more poisonous as the normal levels of poison anyway) |

After lots of work, Michael took two days off and we travelled to Matheran, a hill station build by the British to escape the heat of the town. There are still some colonial bungallows, one of them is The Verandha in the Forest which we chose for our short holiday. |
