Flying via Kuala Lumpur where we stopped for two nights we reached Medan, the capital of Sumatra and moved on to Bukit Lawang, a good entry point to Gunung Leuser National Park.
We made a three day / two nights hike in the jungle where the highlight is to see orang utangs.
We took a night bus from Medan to Banda Aceh the capital of Aceh Province and then the ferry to Pulau Weh for diving form the village of Iboih. Diving with lots of current on good clean reefs!!! On the way back to Kuala Lumpur we stood one night in Bandah Aces and visited two museums about the 2004 tsunami.
