Looking for a destination not too far away and open during the pandemic we went to Madeira. Besides cool dive sites we found great food, wondeful hiking and landscapes which at some point reminded us to South East Asia. We rented a bungalow overlooking the sea in Caniço just some minutes walk from Atalaia Diving Center with a good and divers house reef. It was "fun" to do the 250m altitude walk to buy fresh fish in Caniço center. And a highlight was the Levada hike from Caniço to Camacha.
